Back When

standing in a corner
disbelieving
watching all the world go by
you were there
just beyond my grasp
nothing but your smile
to stop the train
soft as silk hands
fumbled through pockets
ran the hallways
flew from high cliffs
deep like puddles
covered in lavendar
you laughed like the rain
waited for my syrupy love
and i followed
like a little girl
chasing butterflies
